Faction members, organised crimes and the bank
A walk through the Members, Crimes and Bank pages and the Crime setup page that drives organised crime payouts. For every faction member, with extra sections for crime managers and bankers.
Who can open what
All of these pages live in the Faction area, which opens once a leader has activated your faction on Torning.
| Page | Needs |
|---|---|
| Faction › Members | Any member of an activated faction. |
| Faction › Crimes | The Crimes module switched on, and the View crimes permission (leaders always have it). Pausing and resuming crimes needs Manage crimes. |
| Faction › Settings › Crime setup | The Crimes module, and the Manage crimes permission or leadership. |
| Faction › Bank | The Accounting module switched on (an Ultra module, rolling out to selected factions). Every member can use it. The bankers' queue needs the Manage banking permission. |
Permissions are handed out per Torn position by your leaders on Faction › Settings › Manage. If a tab shows a lock, ask a leader.
The members table
Faction › Members lists everyone in your faction. Use the Members and Demographics switch at the top to move between the roster and the demographics view.
Above the table is a row of view buttons. Each one swaps the columns:
| View | Columns |
|---|---|
| Default | Member, Country, Position, Status, Level, DIF (days in faction), Score and Last Action. Filters for Torning (on Torning or not), Position, Status and Activity (Online, Idle, Offline). |
| Stats | Rank, Str, Def, Spd, Dex and Total battle stats. |
| Crimes | Nerve against max, with natural nerve bar (NNB) shown beside it. |
| Warring | Revivable, CMG (stars for Carnage, Massacre and Genocide hits), Energy, Drug, Medical and Booster cooldowns, and Refill (energy refill used in the last 24 hours). Filter by Revivable. This view refreshes every 15 seconds. |
| Weapons and armour | What each member has equipped: Primary, Secondary, Melee, Head, Body, Legs, Feet and Hands. |
Most columns come from members' own Torning accounts, so they are blank for anyone not on Torning. Each member also chooses who can see their data in their visibility settings. If they keep something private, or share it only with leaders and you are not one, the cell reads Hidden. Your own row follows your own settings too, so you can check what others see.
Member drawer
Click any row to open that member's details. On a wide screen they dock beside the table; on a phone they slide up as a drawer.
- Position, level, status, days in faction and when they were last active.
- Profile and Message open their Torn profile or a new Torn message in a new tab.
- Compare opens the compare tool.
- With the Manage intel permission (or as a leader) you also get a Last 30 days panel (Xanax, Refills, Energy trained, OCs, Hits and Respect) and the member's Scorecard. Xanax, refills and energy read "Not shared" when the member has not shared them.
Comparing two members
Press Compare activity at the top of the Members page (or Compare in the member drawer). Pick a Member and who to Compare with.
- In Torn, last 7 days: activity rating, last seen, time played, active streak, energy trained, attacks won, ranked war hits, crimes, OCs, revives, flights, Xanax, energy and nerve refills, boosters and energy drinks.
- For the faction, last 7 days: war hits, chain hits, attacks and OCs. This part only shows if you have both the View wars and View crimes permissions.
In-game figures come from Torn personal stats and are refreshed daily. A "?" means Torning has not collected that member's stats yet.
Demographics
The Demographics view shows where your members are: a World map, a Country breakdown and a Timezone spread. It helps you plan chains and wars around when people are actually awake.
A member only appears here once they have saved a country and timezone (Demographics in the account menu) and have not set their demographics visibility to Private. Until anyone has, the page says "No shared demographics available yet."
The Crimes page
Faction › Crimes is your faction's organised crime board. Torning works out who should sit in which seat and which crime to spawn next, and keeps re-fitting the plan on its own whenever crews change. There is nothing to press to make it run.
Crime roster
Every active crime, with its tier and a pass-rate bar marked against the rate it needs. Badges show Your crime, Recommended for you, Paused or Cannot crew. Each seat shows the role, its weight, who holds or should take it, and their pass rate:
- a tick means they have joined; a padlock means they have joined and meet the floor;
- a clock means they are recommended but have not joined yet;
- a rate with "~" is estimated from crime stats because no synced rate exists yet.
The crime name links to the crime in Torn.
Actions
A to-do list of the moves the plan needs right now, one line per member: Leave, Move (to another seat in the same crime), Switch (leave one crime and join another) or Join.
Spawn timeline
The crimes recently spawned (or skipped) and the tiers queued to spawn next, with the next one marked Next and a freshly spawned one marked New. If it is empty, the card explains why: your faction's crime tree has not synced yet, you are out of scope, or there is not enough pass-rate data to score a tier.
Pausing a crime
With the Manage crimes permission, each crime in the roster has a pause button. A paused crime stops being staffed and its members are moved to other crimes. Press play to resume it. The plan re-fits straight away either way.
Payouts
When a payout cycle is running, the Payouts card shows what everyone is owed so far:
- a bar splitting the pot into the members' Split, item Refunds on top, and the faction's cut;
- one bar per member showing their skill share and item refunds (your own row is highlighted);
- click a member for their Payout breakdown: skill score, how present they were, active days, and each line that adds to or takes from their share.
Owed amounts build up as crimes complete during the cycle. With no cycle running, the card says so and points managers to Crime setup.
Crime setup: payouts
Faction › Settings › Crime setup is for crime managers. It controls how organised crime money is split, how the optimiser behaves, and who takes part.
Payout settings
Every setting saves as soon as you change it.
- Skill Payout Reward: a slider from Lower Skill to Higher Skill. The further right, the more of the pot goes to members with better pass rates on harder crimes.
- Faction cut: the share of the pot the faction keeps, in steps of 5%.
- Join bonus points (per join) and Join cap (max joins counted): the nth crime a member joins in a cycle is worth the per-join points times n, up to the cap. With the defaults (10 points, cap of 4) that totals 10, 30, 60 and 100 points. A preview below the fields shows the totals.
- Active points per day in crimes: flat points for each day a member spends in a crime (3 by default).
- Flying fine: from Off to Harsh. Docks a member's own share when they hold up a ready crew while abroad, growing with every hour they block it.
A member's pay points are their skill (difficulty-weighted pass rate, scaled by how present they were) plus join bonus plus active time. After the faction cut, the pot is split by total points.
Payout cycles
- Press Start payout cycle to begin counting. The Active cycle shows what is owed so far.
- When it is time to pay, press Close & start next. Torning records what each member is owed as payouts in Accounting and opens the next cycle straight away.
- Pay members in Torn as usual. Each payout flips to paid once Torning sees the matching give in your faction's news.
Cancel cycle deletes the open cycle without paying anyone, and no new cycle starts until you start one. A closed cycle can also be cancelled from the list of past cycles, but only while none of its payouts have been matched to a real give.
Past cycles show their period, pot and how much has been paid out. Open one to see its payouts. The Payments card tracks recent payouts over 7 days, 30 days, 90 days or 1 year and how many are reconciled. Payments stay pending unless the Accounting module is on, because the faction news it reads is what confirms the money moved.
Crime setup: crimes and optimiser
Optimiser
The Optimizer card sums up the current plan: seats placed, seats open, crews given up on and crimes queued to spawn, with when it last decided. The plan normally re-fits when crews change and on a ten-minute sweep. After changing a setting, press Re-run now to see the effect immediately.
Below it, switch between Queue (tiers planned to spawn, with expected pass rate, how many could crew it now and the scope it costs), Crews (each crew's seats against its break-even rate), Given up and Members (everyone grouped by state). The Behaviour section holds the optimiser's own settings: whether to give up on crews nothing can move, whether to only seat members with a real synced rate, how long to wait before giving up, how many spawns to plan ahead, uses per member, and the pass rate at which to try a tier up. Leave a field blank to use the default.
Manage crimes
A list of every crime your faction can spawn, in priority order (top first).
- Drag the handle to reorder. The optimiser fills higher crimes first.
- Press a crime's disable button so it is skipped. Press it again to enable the crime.
- Set the crew's pass-rate band with Min and Max. A max of 100 means no cap.
- Expand a crime to set each role's weight and its own min and max.
- Reset to defaults puts every crime's priority, disable, weights and pass rates back.
OC member exclusions
Toggle a member off to hide them from the OC schedule and stop them being recommended. Handy for members on holiday or otherwise unavailable.
The Bank page
Faction › Bank lets you take money out of your faction vault without using Discord. It does the same thing as /banking withdraw and works with the same cards in your bankers' Discord channel, so the two never disagree about who has been paid.
For members
- Your vault balance shows what Torn last reported you holding, and when it was read.
- In Ask the vault, type an Amount such as
5m,250korall, then press Request. Torning checks your live balance first and tells you if you are asking for more than you hold. - You can have one open request at a time. Press Cancel to withdraw it. Requests close on their own after 60 minutes if no banker picks them up.
- Your recent requests shows how your last few were settled.
Requests go to your faction's Discord bankers, so your leaders need to have linked a Discord server and chosen a bankers channel and banker role. If they have not, the page tells you when you press Request.
For bankers
With the Manage banking permission you also see Waiting on a banker and the Requests waiting queue, oldest first.
- Pay marks the request paid and opens Torn's give-money form in a new tab with the member and amount filled in. Send the money there.
- Cancel closes the request without paying.
- Recently settled lists the last requests closed by anyone.
The Discord card for the request is updated to match, and anything a banker settles on Discord shows here too. The page refreshes every 30 seconds.
